I absolutely love my Way Basics storage cubes. I bought two for the kitchen last year to hide kitchen counter clutter. Liked them so much I bought four more to hide items on open shelving. Now I just ordered two more to stack on top for my Indian spices and grains since I started cooking Indian food. Only bought the ones with doors.
I have very limited storage in my kitchen so these are a godsend. They are so sleek and modern. Very light weight but strong enough for me to sit on them if I wanted to. Eco friendly and inexpensive.
Noticed they have recently widened their selection and colors of products, so have a look. I have the white ones. No idea what the fake wood ones look like.
Ikea were more expensive and probably heavier, which would be a problem stacking them on my shelves. I wanted a door on the cube and they only offered a plain door or a glass door. I like the little cutout on my doors.
Doing more organizing and, after watching a youtuber assemble these cubes for her own closet, bought them for one of mine. You can buy different configurations and colors. Wow, what a difference! I realized I didn't need to hang every pair of pants on limited rail space. Now I've got all the casual corduroy and denim folded in the cubes while my others hang freely instead of cramped. Space for handbags and shoes, too.
The cubes are not for heavy items but sturdy enough for paperbacks. Because they are cheap plastic they wouldn't look good out in the open unless you didn't mind.
