Anyone came across a dome fine mesh SS <30+ splatter cover?
With pretty much anything imaginable being produced and available online, it's impossible to find this useful gadget.
Now with AirFryers being so popular, and even convection ovens or regular ovens, such food cover would be a godsend.
It would reduce or even eliminate the fat splash cleaning.
But no, all you see are just flat pan covers.
I came across one on Amazon, but not produced anymore(!)
Russia advertise some too. But no Amazon, Temu, AliExpress or such.
Obviously not a rocket science to produce - so, why not?
I am sure it would be high demand.
If that's a picture of an air fryer, there's no room for a domed splatter guard like that. You'd think they would include one in the design. Not domed, but cubed.
I only use one on the stove top (iron skillet or wok) and the flat ones work fine.
An air fryer works by moving air fast over the food. Your spatter screen would turn the air fryer into a normal oven. It is an interesting idea, but disposable liners might be better.
I have to admit - (and no offense meant here) - the first picture of the oblong spatter screen immediately had me thinking of a cover for a hockey rink for house flies. All it needs is a scoreboard and some bleachers.
To cover the food that is in the oven/AirFryer?
Food that is on a flat cooking tray? Or AF basket?
I thought I explained it ...
Cover that, so it doesn't splatter all over the oven but at the same time you're still able to see through how it's cooking?
I've never seen an air fryer that splatters. And if I think someone will splatter in my oven, I cover it with foil (but I can't even remember that ever being an issue to be honest.)
I can't imagine any use that I would have for such a dome.
