I ordered an item off Ebay and forgot to put my apartment number so the item is being sent back. Do I automatically get a refund after the item is returned to the sender or do I have to request it?

Which leads me to the next problem because I'm getting the "OOPS THATS NOT A MATCH" error on Ebay when I try to log into the account that I used to buy the item!

Can you go look for the ebay seller's other listings without logging in? Their listing(s) may state their refund policy and it may provide an email contact. I've never done this but maybe an email to the seller directly would be helpful. Don't know whether ebay frowns upon contacting sellers outside the platform.

IMHO, your biggest problem is the log in refusal, not a refund. You'll need to contact ebay about all that. If/when you straighten that out, add your apartment number to your profile so you don't forget it again!

If you can get back on, I"d just write the seller and ask if he can resend it, if you still want it. Or ask him how the refund will work.

I had to download the EBAY APP and on the APP I was given the option to "reset password" and I did so I was able to log in.

I contacted the seller asking if they could refund the money or re-send the item. Hopefully they respond!

Thanks for the help
