Thatlink only goes to MSNBC and changes in one day.I saw the story tho on TV.Good that there is more testing but many humans are killed each year by drugs also. Too many dog suffer from no care and this is likely to just add cost to the drugs used;so it's a swap off really.The cost of animal treatment is really high now so that many can not afford to take a animal to the vet for regular things like heartworms.

Well, I certainly wish they would have listed the offending ingredients. There are many kinds out there. My vet told me not to use the OTC ones sold in the grocery store because they were harmful, but I'd like to believe the ones purchased with a prescription are safer. This lumps them all into the same category. It's hard to tell what is safe and what is not.

From the story, it sounds like most of the problems are human error or human stupidity. Using dog medicine on a cat or overdosing a small dog using the flea treatment made for much larger dogs.
