We used an Eden Pure heater this winter to help heat our upstairs (we have a large, drafty Victorian house). My husband would turn down the high efficiency gas furnace at night to 62 and we would have the heater on to warm the upstairs. It made the winter bearable.
However, even though the gas bill went down, the electric bill went up by about the same amount of money. So, we didn't save money, but we were happier because we were warmer.
