I'll have to remember to send The American Family Association a "Happy
Holidays" card.
We have seven Costcos in Atlanta. The one just North of where I live is one of the busiest Costco stores in the U.S. On any given day, just by eye-balling it, I'd say less than one-third of the customers in there are what you'd peg as "American Christians" - so exactly WHY would you NOT try to include
all of your customers during the season by simplifying it and using the word "Holiday" instead of "Christmas"? It has nothing to do with insulting Christians - it has to do with respect, in that you are acknowledging not everyone is a Christian, and many of those people shop at your stores.
"Happy Holidays" includes
everyone - what's The American Family Association's problem with including everyone as opposed to EXCLUDING all but
one group of people? Duh.
I'm going to spend extra money at Costco this weekend just because of that article. I need 250 rolls of toilet paper I'm sure.
