Posted in house with not much luck. Shopping and comsumer products might help. Anyone have baseboard heat?
Fahrenheat 96" standard baseboard heater 240 volts, 2000 watts, 6825 BTU/HR, 8.3 amps for $60
or
Fahrenheat 94" Hydronic Liquid Filled baseboard heater 240 volts, 2000 watts, 6826 BTU/HR, 8.3 amps for $357
As you can see- all the specs are the same except price. I am installing the stand-alone kind from Lowes/HomeDepot and want to know the difference between them...or if it's just a marketing gimmick-'hydronic'. A 2 bdrm house can be installed standard for 400 versus 1600 for hydronic-yet utility bills will be the same, right?
in theory 2000 watts will cost as much as...2000watts, but which one runs more often? and just because one says it will put out so many btus doesn't mean it is accurate.
find out if that is the max rated or the max average output
