Which of these brands to yall find the most snobby, pretentious or elitist? Please pick up to two.
On a lot of college campuses in Midwestern and Southern states, rich kids from the East Coast (the NOrtheast plus the DC suburbs of MD and VA) stand out because of fashions.
I guess there is some truth to Abercrombie. I went to a very snobby and pretentious East Coast high school and almost everyone wore that. It seems when that contingent went off to college, they stood out instead with the North Face and Uggs paid for with their parents' money while the rest of us worked our way through school or took out loans and shopped thrifty at Walmart. Just about everyone I've met from Long Island for example is wearing these things.
I do personally own some American Eagle, all of which were bought either in massive sales or in outlet stores. But Gretchen Wilson is right, so many times people compliment my new clothes and ask me where I got them and I tell them Walmart. Plus with brands all the yuppie stuff is pretty dumb really. People do it just because its trendy.....like its all part of the trend......North Face, check....Uggs, check.....$4 Starbucks latte, check.....some indie punk music on the iPod, Barack Obama support, check.
Starbucks coffee actually tastes comparable or inferior to many other places. I tend to make my own coffee or get them from McDonalds or gas stations. I personally have to vouch for McD's iced coffee as the best.
