The feeder schools are first and foremost Youree Dr. Middle School;University and Riverside elementary schools. Maybe Broadmoor Middle to some extent. I don't no exactly about any schools in Cedar Grove east of I-49, there may be some there too like Fairfield elem which would feed into Youree Middle.

There are many "lab schools" where the education is superior as is told. Eden Gardens, Caddo Middle Magnet, are in east Cedar Grove and can feed into Shreve. I think Shreve may have some kind of Magnet Program there; that is, some enriched specialty area such as math and science, engineering, etc. I don't know exactly what Shreve has, but I believe it is still a good school.

Shreve is not the school it used to be. My wife taught there for several years and left for greener pastures. We know other teachers still working there. There are some great teachers there, and the principal rules with an iron fist. Culturally, though, there is an "I don't care" attitude with the students that is extreme even for teenagers. It's something my wife didn't encounter teaching at Byrd or Parkway. The "Gifted" English students, for example, test on par with the Enriched students elsewhere. Why that is, I don't know.

Byrd's Magnet program and Magnet High are better choices if you have the option.
