How is Bossier? We are a military family moving to Bossier. We have 6 kids, ages 6-17. How are the schools there?

I've never been to Alaska, but I've been in SBC for about a year.

BC schools tend to have a good reputation, but it really depends on the school (the two elementary schools associated base housing have not-so-good reputations). Same is true for Shreveport schools - really depends on the school. I'd strongly suggest looking into Caddo's magnet school programs.

Personally, I prefer Shreveport to BC - we like being "in the city" and being closer to amenities. BC is very residential.

Bossier City Schools - Bossier City Louisiana School Ratings - Public and Private

Here is a great website for looking at schools in Bossier, where you guys will be. When are you headed this way? This is a really nice place to raise a family. There is a lot to do with the kids, and Bossier is very military friendly. Are you guys part of Global Strike?
