Hopefully when the Teague Parkway extension hooks up to Sligo Rd., that will ease some Jimmy Davis Bridge traffic. I understand that the Jimmy Davis Blvd is being widened from 3 to 5 lanes to accommodate the onramps that will be built onto Teague. And some hwy folks are examining adding two outside lanes to the existing bridge as it is structurally sound enough to accommodate two outside lanes.

Golden Meadows is a very nice place and has new and old homes. When coming into the subdivision turn right on Hollyhock this will lead you to the newer area of the neighbor hood. Turn left and any homes on that side are about 30 years old. The neighborhood is quite and filled with very nice people and a lot of military families. 12-10-09

Down here everything follows Barksdale Blvd and most often Jimmie Davis Hwy and Bridge.

In short more custom designed homes=more affluent buyers=bigger property tax collections=more political clout.
We purchase a home in Greenacres and do not feel like we live in the "hood"!

No, not that kind of hood. I shortened neighborhood to hood. My bad.
