No no no... Country Club Apartments on Lakeshore Drive are NOT good apartments! That stretch of Lakeshore Drive is in one of the less desirable parts of Cross Lake. This is dated 2006, but it's a news release by the Shreveport Police Department of a shooting in that complex: 061406.shooting at country club apartments. This is the only such story I could find online, but every now and again I hear mention of these apartments on the crime-related nightly news stories.

Colonial Plaza are okay, I believe. That's not a bad area where they're located, right in a busy shopping district and not real far from downtown either.

My advice: keep looking. But if you don't find anything you like better, Colonial Plaza wouldn't be a bad compromise.

I second that Country Club Apts on Lakeshore is not the best place to be. It was okay back in the 1980's but it not so much anymore. If I were looking for apts, check out SE S'port. Look at Champion Lake apts. or the newer apts just to the south of Champion Lake on Clyde Fant Pkway. Stay away from the Pier as it was the scene of a multiple homicide 3 or 4 years back. Of course Bossier has decent apts but traffic may be more than you'd like.
