hello i'm currently trying to research Shreveport to relocate there this year. i'm originally from southern Louisiana and don't know too much about the north. i would like to know what the outlook is like for nursing jobs in s Shreveport at the present time, and i would greatly appreciate insight on good/decent apartment properties to look at for rent that aren't outrageously expensive. and i read on some other threads that bossier city and southeast Shreveport are better places to live???? thank you for your info and time, it is very appreciated.

hello msgood85. My wife and I are from the Lafayette and Baton Rouge areas. We just moved to Shreveport about six months ago and love it so far! It has a bigger city look with a small town feel. We looked all over the shreveport/bossier area for nice places to live and found the best places to be in southeast shreveport and north bossier. There are some nice apartments off of Clyde Fant Parkway and Youree Drive in Southeast Shreveport. There are also some nice townhomes to rent by the LSUS area. Rent isn't bad in the area either. Hope this helps. Good luck with everything!

you made a good choice to come to Shreveport. the medical community is quite diverse and competitive. I would suggest you consider the condos or apartments off of Clyde Fant parkway. That way you are near Southeast Shreveport, downtown, Bossier, Louisiana Boardwalk, and and even Centurytel center. They are affordable, safe, and really nice.
