Does such a monster exist? I have not been able to find anything online that lists houses for rent in Shreveport/ Bossier. There are plenty of listings for the apartments, but not for homes.

Anybody (Shreveport/ Bossier resident, preferably) who can share some info?

Thanks.

(I'm a Film/ TV Production Professional currently in Wilmington, NC. I need to move my family - wife and 6 year old daughter - for work since film work appears to have left NC for good. Considering: New Orleans metro area, Baton Rouge metro or Atlanta metro. As this thread pertains to Shreveport, please keep all responses limited to Shreveport/ Bossier.)

Since plenty of people have looked at this but no one has responded I will assume that means there are no reputable online listings of houses for rent in Shreveport/ Bossier.

Default Good luck

We had the same problem when we first moved to Shreveport! The only place we could find listings was a place called rentmax which is basically the company that lists most of the rentals in the paper. We had to go to the office and pay $65 I think for one year (which is crazy cuz most people only need a few months) and then you pick 3 areas you want listings for and they give u a big printout of what is currently listed with them. Then u have to call the number they give u to get daily updates on properties. Then u deal directly with the landlords. It is kinda crazy but we did find a great house through it. Be warned though there are a lot of pretty rundown houses but if you have patience u will find a gem. Oh yea you can also tell the the price range u want and they will narrow it that way as well. The only place online I have found is craigslist but I'm not sure how reliable it is. I think rentmax has a website too. Good luck to you and your family! Also please be sure to check out school info because I am finding out there r a few not so great schools including the one my son goes to so heads up. I may be visiting rentmax again to find another house in a different school district. Good luck!

Thanks Happymom. Will look into that.

So, what kind of area(s) are the following addresses in? What are elementary schools like? Average joe on street?

148 Ockley, 71105
741 Wilkinson, 71104
3811 Greenway Place, 71105

I am not sure where those are but I have been told that bossier has great schools and Blanchard elementary is supposedly a great school too.
