My husband and I are contemplating about relocating to the Bossier area, he is a country boy and would prefer not to live to close to town but I am city girl who loves shopping, we have two small children and one dog are there any suggestions about which areas are the best and secluded but not horribly to far away from civilization??? Please Help Me

Look to South Bossier then... Sligo Road is country setting and fairly easy to get to South Shreveport's main shopping areas on Youree Drive. Good schools ( new Parkway H.S.) and the new Teague Parkway extension will make it easier to get to South S'port's fun stuff.

A tad further South in Elm Grove..you'll find lots of country settings... easy drive on Hwy 71 South to Jimmy Davis Bridge to get across the River to South Shreveport.... Target Shopping Ctr, Barnes & Nobles... Cantina Laredo.... JC Penny's...etc...etc.. etc..

Also there's Haughton which is in Bossier Parish and is slightly East of Bossier but a quick drive. It's as country as it gets if that's your thing and there's a variety of home choices too.

If you have the $$$ check out Olde Oaks Development on Sligo...it is a golf-community and very nice...some deals to be had there due to the recession... some prices on the Fairway Villas are within reach of middle class folks.. just check it out.
