Got into Sioux Falls later this afternoon and had dinner at the Timberlodge Steakhouse I think was the name. The food was pretty good and the people were crazy nice. Anyway, the weather is sickening cold and the roads were a little messy on the way in. I guess that is probably par for the course. We signed for our house and things are going well. The movers come tomorrow to deliver our stuff and I can get to work setting the place up. I haven't seen to much of the city, but am looking forward to seeing things. I'm sending this from the hotel I'm staying at and will drop another line after I get internet set up at the house. Talk to you all soon...

Mark...

Mark, that is fantastic!! You and your family made it here. Now we can officially say, "Welcome to South Dakota".

The weather is awfully cold right now. This isn't exceptionally cold, but we do have nice days on the way so hang in there.

Welcome to Sioux Falls, Mark! I hope you enjoy it---summer's not too far away! I think the entire population is suffering from cabin fever, but people are still friendly--can't deny that!

Well, we are settled in now and just have a few things left to organize in the house. I now have internet and TV, so that's good. I have been around the city on a limited basis, but like what I have seen up to this point. I have seen both sides of the spectrum in regards to the people here. Some are WAAAY friendly, which is nice and some seem angry at the world. I can't really put a finger on it, but it's almost like an elitist (hope I spelled that right) attitude. This may sound funny, but it's kind of nice to get away from the whole Military community and have people discuss things other than the Army. We are heading out to find a physical fitness center today and get started with that. I think we are really going to enjoy our time here in Sioux Falls...

Alright!!! It sounds like you've gotten settled in since you have tv and internet. What else could one need except a shower?

I hope that your little one is over being ill and things work out for you.

How's the fitness center search going? There are lots of nice centers in Sioux Falls--it just depends what you're looking for. We like Avera Mc Kennan. It's nice and clean and light and bright. The fitness classes are great too.

Found a fitness center and things are going very well. The little dude is much better, just teething really bad. Spikes a fever and gets real cranky everytime teeth come in. His biggest issue is getting use to the new surroundings, but is coming along nicely. The neighbors are all real nice and have little ones of their own, so this summer should be nice. I actually have been enjoying the weather and the big snow flakes this morning were amazing. I haven't seen snow fall for some time. I have the big screen I've been wanting and now just can't wait for the football season to begin. Oh well, that's about it for now. Talk to you all soon...
