I plan to arrive Sioux Falls about 5pm December 24, 2007 and depart the next morning to St. Louis, MI. Can you tell me if I can expect some gas stations to be open Xmas eve or Xmas day morning? Or, can you tell me who I should contact about this? Thank you for your help.

YES, I can't tell you any specific ones, but any town in our state that is of any significant size always has at least one station open over Christmas. In the town I live in, they take turns from year to year. Have a nice Thanksgiving.

Sioux Falls has nearly 150,000 people. They better have gas stations open!

The Shell gas station on Exit 77 (41st St.) off I-29 on the nortwest corner would be open for sure. So would the Flying J (off of Exit 83 of I-29) and Pilot (off of I-90 on the Cliff Ave. exit). Your best luck would be ones by the interstate, but there is still quite a few stations open to serve the travelling public during that day. Some stations, more so in the residential areas may have limited hours.

plus you can always use pay at the pump - I can't even remember the last time I went in a gas station to pay for gas!

BusySocialWorker is correct. The vast majority of gas stations in the Sioux Falls area have pay at the pump where one can use his or her debit or credit card and can be used when the store is not open. If one wants to go into a store, there should be quite a few gas stations open in Sioux Falls with the Flying J, Pilot, Shell (on Exit 77) and those by the interstates being the best bets.
