Hartford South Dakota (Sioux Falls: house, school, to live)

Does anyone know anything about the small town of Hartford, right outside of Sioux Falls? I would rather live a little but out of the city but still close..what do you think?

Hi Emily and welcome to the group. Hartford is a nice small town. If you could give a bit of info about yourself, we'd be glad to answer your questions. If you still have to work, Sioux Falls will be your best bet and Hartford is about 15 miles away. It's an easy drive during most months, but quite a ways when it's icy or there's a snowstorm. Do you live in SD? What's the population of the town you're coming from? Personally, if I worked in Sioux Falls, I'd live there, but that's just me cause I don't like to drive in the winter time and I like to live close to work.

My husband will be working at the armory in Sioux Falls, we are moving from Georgia. I have been house hunting and the house I want is in Hartford, it is a great deal. Plus I am used to having a little more of a yard than alot of the homes in Sioux Falls have to offer. I will be a stay at home mom to my 2 children..they aren't in school yet. We are from Minnesota originally so we are used to driving in snow and cold weather.
