I just ordered mine from amazon.com in ORANGE !!! to support Holland who WILL win the world cup !!! Can't wait to bring it to my local sports bar !!! woohooooo !!
I hope you don't get beaten over the head with that horn. lol. My sports bar patrons would kill me if I started blowing one of those inside.
They have them in the Mexican leagues also...I dont care for them, you cant hear the commentators and it does sound like your watching them play in a beehive.
I didn't really notice them so much until somebody pointed them out to me. We watch a lot of Mexican soccer, so I think I'm just used to them
There's discussion about having folks DJ during the games at the neighborhood bar- some people are so incredibly annoyed with the vuvuzelas that anything would be better, and some people feel like they're worth putting up with to hear the commentary. Be interesting to see which way it goes.
Don't forget about the Irish, who should be there. France (and Henry hand ball) should be home making baguettes and smoking heaters.
Ireland (Republic of Ireland) isn't part of the UK. It's its own country. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, but they're not the ones who didn't qualify for the WC as a result of Henry's handball.
Back on topic...
I hate the vuvzelas. FC Dallas gave them away at the first game of the season and the supporter's group about revolted.

I'd walk out of any bar that put on a DJ while matches were being played.

Yeah, like I said, some people want to hear the commentary.
But on the other hand people were complaining about the vuvuzela noises and asking that they turn the volume down, so the thinking was if you can't hear the commentary anyway, might as well have people play records.
(just to be clear we're not talking like clubby dance music DJs. This crowd is mostly retired punks/ aging hipsters in the late 30s-40s range. I'd walk out of any bar playing oontz-oontz-oontz music whether there was a game on or not!)
really obnoxious - they were annoying during the confed cup and they are still annoying now
i'd much rather hear the singing, chanting and real atmosphere of the game .... not just a bunch of mindless buzzing
during the confed cup my wife declared I was on my own for the world cup if the buzzing was going to be constant - she hasn't watched a minute of it yet
the bar I watched US/England at the crowd pretty much drowned out the TV and no one wanted to hear the broadcast
if SA or some other country where it's part of their tradition is playing then fine, blow away ......... but the constant drone over every game is already tiresome
I actually had one when I was a kid. It did not last long in the Casa de Moth.
They are horrific and FIFA should ban them with all due haste. I thought my TV was busted.
