Unfortunately, this messes up my final 16 predictions, but on the other hand, I'm happy for Slovakia (nice to see one of the Eastern European teams make it through). And all of my other predictions have come true so far. If I think about it objectively, I pick Germany versus Argentina for the final...in spite of Germany's issues in match #2, I still think they're very formidable: well-organized, quick, and talented. And between these teams I have to give the win to Argentina...the most impressive team so far, imo(love how Messi is playing, so unselfishly but so effectively). Maradona might be crazy but maybe crazy like a fox...or maybe he's just there for show and press functions while the team focuses on winning?! lol...
kobe, that's a great game (Argentina vs. Brasil), but due to the way the semi-finals are scheduled, Brasil can only meet Argentina before the final, but not in the final itself.
As for USA vs. Brasil...you have to understand, just for the USA to get that far would be amazing, regardless of the result of the final. I would be so proud, no matter what the result. Everyone knows Brasil is a great team; for the USA to compete against them would be an honor, many Americans love Brasil and Brazilians, many Brazilians live in the USA so it would be a beautiful day for both countries. Now, Brazilians have such high expectations that if they only scored, let's say, 3 goals instead of 7, I could actually see the Brazilians being a bit disappointed!
noooooo,7 goals is too much, the states have pretty decent team and a GREAT player named landon donovan, one of my favorites in the world, but tell you something, you got pretty good chances to get to the quarter finals, and i am not wrong, that's you best perfomance in a wrold cup so,then if go to semi final yes it would be prety cool
Maybe they're not used to South Africa weather. It's a whole new different environment for both teams, though the same can be said for the rest of the European teams.
I can see why South American teams fare very well. Familiar environment, and - like South Africa - geographic location in southern hemisphere. Not the sole reason, but certainly a part of it.
Not buying this excuse at all. Surely these teams have the resources to skirt around any unfavourable weather conditions.
Oh, I know why the got eliminated early!!! It was those darn vuvuzelas!!! They should've practiced sign language.
