I'm not even a Barcelona fan but i'm just putting this in here so i and others can
publically wish him luck in his surgery to get rid of his liver tumor.

Great player, hope he is back to his best soon.

he was doing a wonderful season. Now that we were (and still are) lacking a key man like Carles Puyol, Abidal went the extra mile and more than made up for his absence. Plus, he has a reputation for being a charismatic, hard working and generous team mate.

From a selfish viewpoint, I wish him a speedy recovery and from an empathetic viewpoint, an even speedier one.

He's had his operation and it was a success.

He may be able to leave the hospital within a week

Hopefully he will be able to make it back next season. A surgery like that can be tough to recover from.
