The EPL kicks off on Saturday. Who wins it? Who takes the drop?

I think the trophy returns to London but not to Stamford Bridge or Emirates Stadium. Spurs will raise the trophy at White Hart Lane after a holding off Man U. and Chelsea in a tight race. Chelsea will struggle early with injuries and Man U. will slip just enough from last season's form to leave the door open for Martin Jol's men. At the bottom Derby and Wigan finish miles from safety while Fulham loses the 17th spot to Birmingham by a point or two.

1. Tottenham
2. Chelsea
3. Manchester United
4. Arsenal
5. Liverpool
6. Aston Villa
7. Blackburn
8. Everton
9. Bolton
10. Portsmouth
11. Newcastle
12. Manchester City
13. West Ham
14. Reading
15. Middlesbrough
16. Sunderland
17. Birmingham
18. Fulham
19. Wigan
20. Derby County

I love the EPL, but if its anything, its predictable. Move Tottenham from first down to Fifth and I pretty much agree with your assessment. But Spurs winning the league? I don't see that.

after looking at it a little more closely, i'd also change the top 5 around a bit...

1- Chelsea
2- Liverpool (Torres is an upgrade over Bellamy)
3- Man Utd
4- Tottenham
5- Arsenal

I sort of agree about Arsenal, but I just could not bring myself to even consider my Gunners would drop out of the top four.

Not kidding at all. I think Spurs have built a very good team, but man did they stink it up against Sunderland. If they don't take full points against Everton tomorrow they're done and so is my 100 quid.

Are you by chance a Spuds fans? Those are the only ones delusional enough to pick them for the top of the table.

I need to find that pic of the Spud's trophy case to show you how likely them finishing top is. Oh wait, here it is:

I'm an Arsenal fan. In fact there is not a team I dislike more than I dislike Spurs. However I do believe they have the talent to challenge Man U. and Chelsea.

Ok, Spuds are now 6 points dropped. Good sign for the rest of their season.
