Is anyone else watching? There has been some pretty amazing stuff. The U.S. is doing well, leading their group. Amy Wambach is having some frustrating near misses. Marta lead Brazil to a win today. She is am awesome player. No one cares about the women?????

I've tried to watch a couple of games at Eurosport, but I just don't like it. I know I shouldn't, but I nonetheless keep comparing with how the men play the game. And then I'm always baffled by the difference in speed and technical skills (okay, except for that Brazilian woman of course). Well, it's just not my cup of tea I guess.

yes, this is true. My son has commented that he could be playing at that level. But really, the sport for women is still so new, relatively speaking. I just hope that interest will continue to grow just as it does for men. And when the U.S. team does well that can only help.

Actually, Brazil is only third in the women's FIFA rankings and they've never won a World Cup...

I've noticed the pace and technical skill of all the women's teams and players has increased dramatically in the past 20 years....
