There may be less money & very little glamour in the Championship bob, but it's a very hard league to win.
I doubt very much that Celtic could win that league in their first season.

Ok john, because they haven't got a huge and loyal fan base do they? Look at Rangers, still selling out even though they are in administration. And if they had the chance of climbing the leagues in England I am sure they would sell out every week.

They would definitely sell out and they would move up quickly to the PL, that is without question. They have the fanbase in Scotland to get them through all this crap and the fanbase worldwide to buy their stuff again once they get back to the top of the Scottish league.

Having said that it wont happen so its not really worth even discussing.

The problem is Brian, Rangers are £124,000,000 in debt, just where are they going to find the money to buy new players?
You would think that a big club like Rangers would have rich buyers lining up to purchase the club, but that's just not happening.
You're dead right about the fanbase that Rangers have, but that did'nt stop the club going bankrupt did it?

Go bankrupt and start all over. Seems to be easy for Irish clubs to do. Look how many of them are brand new clubs.

Not being a Rangers fan I can still see that it would be an outrage if a club the size of Rangers and with their history ceased to exist. But if that does happen it is their own fault, not the fans but the succesion of morons who have ran the club.

Id be pissed too, almost happened to my club but we decided not to do it and actually did the right thing. Seems the easy thing to do is fold and start again with the same name, or a similar name. Cork City FORAS Football Club which is now shortened to Cork City FC and Derry City did the same thing. Both clubs under 10 years old, fans like to forget they have no history etc and act like its the same club. Always good to rub it in their face though!
