A man thought to be a Wales fan has died following an incident before the match against England at Wembley. The man, aged 44, was taken to hospital with head injuries after suffering cardiac arrest outside the stadium. He died in hospital shortly before 21:00 BST. Six people, all thought to be Wales supporters, were arrested and police do not believe any England fans were involved. The Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command is investigating.
An England football fan who killed a Wales supporter outside Wembley stadium has been jailed for three years. Ian Mytton, 41, admitted the manslaughter of 44-year-old Michael Dye last month. Mr Dye died from head injuries from what one witness described as a single "sickening punch" before the Euro 2012 qualifier between England and Wales on September 6.
