Youth soccer and soccer uniforms (leagues, league)

Has anyone ever had reuseable uniforms (where they are turned in at the end of the season) and reused next year? This is for youth rec soccer leagues. OR have you only been in leagues where the kids keep uniforms every year? Pros and cons? Our league thinks they can save money by going with reusable shirts (400) instead of kids keeping uniforms. Any experience here is helpful. Thanks.

When I was a kid they were reused until new ones were needed. Kids never kept the jersey at the end of the season.

When I was playing in the youth leagues we just took our own kit in didn't matter what make or style as long as we had a red T-shirt and white shorts we were ready to go!

For my kid's soccer league the parents bought the kit (home and away jersey, shorts and socks) for about $70. The kids kept uniforms after the season.

We kept returning to play in the same league for many years partially because we did not want to buy a new kit for a different league. At the start of the season they might need to replace one part of the kit but this was better than buying the whole uniform again.

I think uniforms are better cared for when the parents know their kid will wear most of the kit again the next year.
