What would happen? Relegation after one season, middle-to-bottom of the pack, or maybe even a contender? Just curious.

I am BRAND new to watching soccer...I only watch the MLS (and really, just some Sporting KC and Chicago Fire games streamed on the internet). I don't really know how the MLS rates on the world-scale, but I know enough to be aware that we aren't world beaters at the sport (yet). Anyway, when we take this s**t global and dominate it like we do in baseball and basketball, then we can start calling ourselves world champions like we do in those other sports (sarcasm).

Didn't the MLS All-Star team lose bad to Manchester United?
If that's true then I would guess no MLS team would stand a chance in the English Premier League.

Friendlies mean nothing other than fund raisers. You cant base it on that. I would say relegation battles.

One off friendly means nothing, no mls team would survive 38 games in the epl.

Preseason friendlies have absolutely no bearing on an English team coming over during their summer tours. If anything, it makes the MLS All Stars look worse when you consider the English teams are still in preseason mode and not at full strength.

In any event, I think the 2 best MLS teams would be competitive, but I don't see them cracking the top 10-12 of the league. I think the would be in the 15-18 spot range and be fighting off relegation.

Relegation, no question. The salary cap makes it impossible even for the big money teams to field an internationally solid team top-to-bottom.

I would say MLS is maybe 12th if you ranked world leagues.
England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, Netherlands, Belgium all have leagues easily better than MLS.

Welcome KC Sleuth...you should pick up another league on the side. I suggest the EPL. If the two best teams were thrown into the EPL i reckon they'd get relegated or would have a good relegation battle. I think they are mid to low table Championship sides.

No MLS team would make it in the EPL. I think the best MLS teams could finish top 10 or even top 5 in the championship if they had just a tad bit more depth to deal with the more grueling season.

You can add Brazil, Argentina, Russia and Ukraine to that.
