Do you tell fans of the Saints/Bears/Texans/Cowboys that they aren't real fans if they don't go out and support their local high school team first? And that high school soccer is best because it is local?
I don't watch any football myself; I did growing up, but I frankly find basically all sports other than soccer and hockey to be wildly boring and unwatchable myself.
But, that being said, watching both is fine ... I do want MLS/US Soccer to do well and be healthy. But the person I am talking to is someone who is basically saying you shouldn't be watching EPL, but just supporting your local club. NFL > College, and Top European Leagues are >>>> MLS.
