No no no we beat Georgia. Its a hard place to travel to, I didnt catch the first half as I didnt know ESPN bought the EURO's this year. Thankfully they did, caught it on WatchESPN. Second half we where all over em, but just lacked the killer instinct up front.

I think the German's expected to be more comfortable in that game. They'll walk that group, I dont think that that's even a question.

My group:

Faroe Islands - Finland 1-3
Hungary - Northern Ireland 1-2
Greece - Romania 0-1

Northern Ireland came from behind and won, quite deserved, and Finland came from one down to score three. Hungary was poor. Romania caused an upset by winning away.

3 points ahead of Hungary and Greece at this point, I couldn't ask for more. Two tough matches ahead for us; Greece and Romania, but luckily both are at home. 6 points would be perfect, but I'm content with 4.

I have an uneasy feeling about England's prospects tonight.

I hope that I'm proved wrong, though that said the whole set up needs a boot up the backside.

In the past a manager, faced with the dismal record they had suffered in a major championship, would have walked.

Youre right, I was surprised to see him still there after the WC. I think his saving grace was England where in the shadows of crap cast from Spain and Portugal. If there wasnt other big nations that did badly I think he would've walked.

I think the other problem is, who are they going to get to replace him? It doesn't seem like there are any candidates lined up to take his spot. And where would Hodgson go if/when he's sacked? What team is going to want him?

I think Redknapp would still take the job. Glen Hoddle was good I thought for what he had.

I was proved wrong with England winning 2-0.

One issue with England is that the FA only appoint people they think they can handle, hence managers like Brian Clough never getting the job.

Yeah, worked so well with Capello.

But, it's true, they should look for a manager with a track record of success, rather than ones that can't hold down a job at club level.
