That goal is just too little too late.

Sophie, this WC I swear...

I´ll take any win, though!

Btw, Rojo will be a huge miss for us this saturday. I never thought I would be writing this, but he´s been a real find for Argentina in this world cup.

EDIT: That Usa set piece deserved a goal.

be honest, as long as messi plays argentina has a shot. the entire team rides on messi. he was the reason the guy wa open to score. without mesi, argentina would've been 0-3 in group stage.

That Debruyne guy kicked some serious booty on the pitch. For me, he was the MVP of this game.

And he reminds me of Prince Harry.

Belgium player better. I'm glad the US team was at least able to score one.

Did anyone notice that only the top teams on each group won the 2nd stage?

It really sucks that the USA team lost. I would have loved to see the United States play a Latin American team in this World Cup. I'm predicting an Argentina-Brazil Final.

Well I was 7/8 in my predictions for this round. For the next one I'm going:

Colombia vs. Brazil

Netherlands vs. Costa Rica

France vs. Germany

Argentina vs. Belgium

Can't really say it's business as usual. Colombia and Costa Rica have made it to the QF for the first time in history and Belgium hasn't been in the QF since 1986. You never know what can happen in football. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Colombia and Belgium win their next games, it's not like their opponents are much better right now. I don't take a win against CR for granted either. We'll see what happens

Edit: and if Argentina beat Belgium, they would make it to SF for the first time since 1990.

Yes, that's extremely rare. I'm not sure it has ever happened in the WC before. At least, not as I can recall.
