Yes the super defensive games can be a bit boring. I understand the tactics and strategy involved but I miss the joga bonito days of the 98 World Cup. I miss games like holland vs brazil semifinal. Probably one of the best ever. I also miss Zidane from WC 06! Amazing player !

I didn't really see anyone of his caliber in this cup. We had some amazing strikers but no midfielders that just took the ball and zipped through defenders. No michael Owen style goals either. Lots of quick chips into the goal or blasts from afar due to the heavy defense.

That didn't mean the games were not exciting. Mexico vs Brazil, and Germany vs Algeria were all exciting.

Well I was mainly talking about the Brazil vs Mexico game. The other game was weak by comparison but it may be due to what Indy said; that the Euro squads don't use their best men.

The euro squads bring their best young players to the Olympics, they just don't take advantage of their >23 players because it overlaps with euro. Also the fans I know from European teams that is used to qualify, like Spain, do follow it. I also remember plenty of coverage of it by BBC, but of course the UK was participating.

You mean voted one of the best, right? Lemme guess, you're another all American guy who just can't get how a 0-0 draw game can be exciting, eh?

I'm watching some documentaries on the Euro Cup and I have to say its a really good tournament. The teams are excellent, more scoring and better matches. The tournament is really on the level of the World Cup.

It is a great tournament, shame they have increased it to 24 teams from now on.. means that there won't be group of death scenarios any more.. which was inevitable before with 16 teams of high quality.

There is nothing exciting about a game in which neither team scores.

Again with the trolling. That game was considered riveting by most soccer fans. Why do you anti soccer nuts think they just cus there is no scoring that the two teams aren't trying? That's the exiting part.

Now go away. Its time to report your trolling.
