Angel di Maria may now be my favorite player, which has been building up for the last couple of years. Every time I watch him I love his game. What was Real thinking by dumping him?

Di Maria is one of the best players in the moment. He was already outstanding with Madrid in the last season. I don't care how much money they cashed by selling him to United, it was obviously a bad deal for Madrid. IMO, the signing of James was too risky and while things could change, so far it is looking like a big mistake. James had a good WC but otherwise had been a slightly better than average player overall before joining Madrid.

Three solid defensive players and Utd will be solid and challenging again pretty easily. I dont think they have the resources to keep up with Man City and Chelski. The FA seriously needs to look into a legitimate and enforced financial fair play.

Chelsea is looking really solid, Diego Costa, unlike in his role with the Spain NT, is feeling very comfortable on Mourinho's tactics. United should take advantage of their absence in the Champions league. Two important games per week is often a huge burden on the players.

That was great to see Lampard score against Chelski today!

Lampard denying his old team of a victory was beautiful.

What are your guy's thoughts on Eliaquim Mangala making his big debut against Chelsea? He seems pretty good, he won all aerial duels. Kept Diego Costa contained all the time.

Smalling, Jones, Evans....sorry they are just not up to the task. Our points total is pretty terrible considering everything. Someone better start stepping up in defense.

I agree. Blackett has also made his share of mistakes, but I cut him more slack as this is his first taste of first team action.

Correct. Blackett has done quite well but will have the occassional lapse considering he's a kid. He should be slowly easing into the first team but because of our lack of depth in defense he's been thrown into the fire. The three i spoke of are veterans and time has shown they are not United material..sorry.
