USA Fails to Qualify for 2018 World Cup
Not to worry. USA will be back.

Until then, here comes FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. Let's enjoy the ones which are in, and see what they accomplish. Soccer is an incredibly strategic game, and there will be much to see and appreciate from those which are there.

THIS. T&T came out to win and did. The better team won. Period.

Yes I was a little relieved we didn't need to go to the Putin Cup. But, of course, the next one is in Qatar, so YMMV. At least they moved the start date to November when it's a little milder. Unfortunately it happens right in the middle of the MLS playoffs. Maybe they'll need to move the 2022 season back a couple of months?

To be fair, everybody will be affected. All the european leagues will be in the middle of their seasons. You know they hate this.

USMNT has friendlies coming up against Brazil (9/7), Mexico (9/11), and Columbia (10/11). If that were part of a competition, it would be a brutal schedule. It'll be interesting to see how they fare. At least the games are in the USA.

^Theyre friendlies so its very hard to judge. The US takes friendlies way more seriously than the likes of Brazil, Italy and England would. Nothing has really changed so you can presume theyre still crap.
