What happened to Italy is the same that happened to Holland: they haven't produced any talent comparable to the likes of Cannavaro, Del Piero, Pirlo, Totti, Vieri in recent years, hence their decline. They've been able to cover it up at major tournaments, but just not this time around. They've been steadily declining just like their Serie A. They're still a good team, just not as good as they used to be. Truth to be said they were drawn against the toughest they could have had, Sweden is a good team and a lot of people are forgetting that.https://www.facebook.com/events/1600900939932779/
The Netherlands got a last minute goal canceled in Sweden because the ref thought it was a offensive foul, would've been 1-2 and Sweden wouldn't even be in the playoffs.

Italy has Ciro Immobile, Bonucci, Simone Zaza, Florenzi, Graziano Pelle, etc, etc. Only their Goalie is the same for like two decades.
Sweden have a history of hanging with the giants and beating them from time to time! Their last great finish was in USA 1994, when they were 3rd place, and were runners up in 1958 in their home tournament! So anyone who has Sweden in their group should not underestimate them - which in this case will be Germany, Mexico, and South Korea.
