Do the high school boys who whipped up on that team deserve big pay too?

It's very disengenuous of them to think this is deliberately against them because they are women. It is more of the "war on women" rhetoric.

Here are some facts:

Women have higher life expectancy
Women have more health coverage
Women have less addiction issues
Women don't commit suicide as often as men

...and I could probably list dozens of other ways that it's not really a "war on women" like these soccer players have made it up in their minds that it is.

For some it’s what they feel the women deserve. In the early days of the NFL and baseball players sometimes had to take jobs in the off time to pay the bills. The team’s revenue was almost exclusively at the stadium. Today it’s stadium, tv, endorsements, sponsors, and merchandise. Perhaps what they need is patience, time, and better negotiations.

Lightbulb US women's soccer equal pay

There's no valid justification for not paying them equally.

Based on performance, the women have a good case for demanding more than the men.

Fair enough, let's arrange a few scrimmages between the men and the women, then pay them based on their respective performance.

It’s not about how well they play. It’s about how much total revenue their league takes in compared to the men’s league as well as contract negotiations.

The endurance of the men can not be overstated: the most physically gifted humans on the planet

If teenage boys beat them, I pity to think how bad the men's team would beat up on them

Tell me more...

"There was a long-standing gap between revenue generated by the men and women, but that has disappeared in recent years. The women’s team contributed close or more than half of the federation’s revenue from games since fiscal 2016. Overall, from fiscal 2016 to 2018, the women’s games generated about $900,000 more revenue than the men’s games. In the year following the 2015 World Cup win, women’s games generated $1.9 million more than the men’s games. And in recent years, the men’s revenue tally also includes the fees that opposing teams pay in order to play the United States."
