Well in the PAST without VAR we all hated them to no end, now if proven guilty of the Foul in the Box, with all the proof we have, a Penalty will always be better than doubting why a Team Lost, or did not advance from a TRUE penalty and not a Ronaldo/Neymar/Costa, etc Dive
That Napoli/Barca game will be one. Neither team is in that good of form to end the season, Barcelona has a bunch of players out, Napoli can't get any attack going. Barcelona is definitely in the drivers seat from the road goal in Naples, but I'd be surprised if there were any more than 2 goals scored total either way. I'm looking at a 1-0/2-0 Barcelona win. Bayern will have a walk in the park against Chelsea. With the injuries Chelsea has even if Bayern was going in down 0-3 I'd probably like their chances. I'll delete my CD account if Chelsea overturns that 0-3 defecit . I'll take Bayern to win again 2-0.
Onto some thoughts for today: I know Rafael Varene had a horrible day at the office. I didn't see the second goal, but on the first goal he really had nowhere to go. Courtois is ahead of him, so I'd blame that first goal half on him. Madrid was in trouble going in. They needed to put at minimum 2 goals in the net, and I never thought they were getting that 2nd goal, so whether Varene made 1 error, 2 errors, 0 errors, or 48 errors, Madrid needed to score more and they didn't but at least he owned up to it after, so hats off to him for that.
As for Juventus/Lyon: oh boy. Very lucky for Juve they won the league otherwise this season would be a total failure. Atalanta started slow, Lazio had no depth, and Inter had a bad stretch. If there's no break and the season continues on as is I really think Lazio ends up winning the league; they were hot, and they wouldn't have had nearly as much depth trouble playing once a week then they did playing 2/3 times a week. But this Juve team needs a complete rebuild. If not for a questionable handball penalty, this game and leg would've been over after Depay's penalty in the 10th minute (maybe another questionable call as well?) because the Juve attack was completely toothless.
