I think the Nats developed and learned a lot over the course of this tournament.
Something I have felt that has always been a detriment to the Nats development is the fact that we rarely get to play high level teams like Italy, Spain, and Brazil.
In order to improve, you have to play teams better than you. Playing CONCACAF opponents all the time just isnt going to help us improve like this tournament did.
I think we can hold our heads high after the way we finished the tournament. Especially after losing our first two games with a combined score of 6-1.
ahaha its all about uruguay baby!! We beat you so hard in the 1950 worldcup, I don't see how you can ever get over that! Foolish of you to blame the goalie for that defeat though...
What a shame, letting a 2 goal lead slip by all in the 2nd half. What a heartbreak. I didnt see the game, only the highlights, but Im glad I missed the game to be honest. I probably would have cried right along with them. haha But, thats Brasil for ya... best of the best.
hey at least we came back in the whole tournament... i mean we basically pulled a miracle against Spain. plus to score 2 goals against Brazil thats good.
