doesn't mean it would be a good choice for 2018 or 2022 - at a minimum there would be a 24 year gap

they've also hosted superbowls, final 4s, wrestlemania and a ton of other events there ..... don't expect any of them to be coming back soon

heck, in 94 barry sanders was leading the lions to the playoffs ripping it up at the silverdome

ford field has pretty much killed a lot of it's value as a venue

I attended a game at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1994, it was a decent experience but I dont like soccer games being held inside.

With that said, the Pontiac Silverdome was just sold for $500,000 and is sitting and rotting away. It is in no shape to be hosting anything, much less a World Cup game.

Wouldn't get too into the cities. This is about year 2022 and many tjings can happen and change. Sure, if that is the official list, I am shocked Chicago got left out.

It is about the year 2018 and 2022 and that list is official. Cities submitted bids over a year ago to be considered and the committee has been reviewing them ever since. The only thing that will change is that the list will be narrowed down even more before the actual WC. Why do you think they would take the time to hold an election show on ESPN or even choose cities at all if it was not official.
