The problem is sometimes you need to lead and do the opposite of what the people want. This is one of these times, if for economic reasons alone .

They are likely reflecting what their constituents want.. This would be an example as going down "on the record" even if you are on the wrong side of history when the final votes are tallied..The flag may come down but they will be immortalized or vilified for history depending on your perspective.

Upstate reps. Read the counties. Greenville. Spartanburg. Anderson. Laurens. Aiken. Only non upstater is Horry.


UPSTATE FOLKS....let it go. The Confederate flag needs to come down. 75% of the reps opposing it are in that Greenville/Sptbg/Anderson cluster.

Enough already. Just enough.
