Doesn't surprise me at all. We are very passionate about things up here. You should know that. I will agree though, the flag shouldn't have been on state grounds, and the right thing is being done now!

I live a few minutes from the State House, and I can attest to the positive energy in Columbia today. The sounds of cheers and applause dulled only by the din of news helicopters. Almost everyone has a smile on their face. Truly a wonderful moment in our capital city today.
I've been in SC for 24 years now and have never set foot on even the sidewalks of the state capital. I think I will sometime this week.
It is so obvious from this video that the flag issue never had anything to do with "heritage" so much as pure good old fashioned racism. Anyone who can't see this is just fooling themselves.
Yep thats us! And as much as people want to believe it has, alot of that mentality still hasnt changed. Glad its down now. Now we can move on and forward.
