I am thinking of moving down there what is some of the citites to look into I would like country living I know I will have to drive to city to work and that is ok. so any advice you like to give I would be grateful. thank you

If you need a job in an urban area, look at the Greenville/Spartanburg or Columbia areas. Or look at the South Carolina suburbs of Charlotte NC, like Rock Hill and fort Mill. Then go about 30-40 miles outside the city centers, and you will be in the country.

Just about all coastal areas offer a decent amount of opportunity for work. And the land 30 minutes inland is much cheaper.

In SC take a close look at Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville. As one poster saidalso take a close look at the greater Charlotte, some of which is in SC.
