I wonder how Leatherman is going to try and justify more Florence projects after all this limelight...

It is interesting that I-73 supposedly uses 'no state funds.'

That seems to contradict what Sen Peeler was saying, that I-73 funding was cutting into other projects like I-26 expansion.

But yeah, you know when the trucking industry is arguing for higher gas taxes, it is time to raise them.

I agree. They should raise the gas tax i'm all for that. I think thought we need a lot more oversight into where that money goes and ALOT more checks and balances on that issue. Hugh Leatherman is serving the needs of Florence and not the state. As a senator, thats fine to a point, but as Pro Temp, Chairman of B & F Committee, Chairman of the Infrastructure Bank, its unethical.

We ought to name Malfunction Junction after him...call it the Senator Hugh Leatherman Outdated Interchange...or go up on 85 and name a pot hole after him...Sen. Hugh Leatherman Pothole
