Ingle's #73 is a supermarket located at 10903 Anderson Road, Piedmont, South Carolina 29673-8202, the southwest quadrant of Anderson Road and Cooper Lane in the Powdersville community in Anderson County, South Carolina. The present store, Ingle's #73 Mark II, opened around 1993. It replaced the adjacent original store, Ingle's #73 Mark I.
The original Ingle's #73 and an adjacent drugstore, Revco, 10909 Anderson Road, Piedmont, South Carolina 29673-9418, opened around 1978. A Duck Head clothing store opened in the vacated Ingle's #73 Mark I after Ingle's #73 Mark II opened. Duck Head closed and its space has remained vacant. Revco was acquired by CVS in 1997. Its Anderson Road store became CVS #7351. CVS #7351 relocated to a freestanding location at 3460 Highway 153, Piedmont, South Carolina 29673-9405, in February 2011.
Ingle's Markets is replacing Ingle's #73 Mark II with a 71,973-square-foot supermarket, Ingle's #73 Mark III, and 9,656 square feet of additional retail space. Ingle's #73 Mark III will have a pharmacy drive thru, Starbucks, and a ten-pump Ingle's Gas Express. Bids for construction were due on Wednesday, 13 September 2017.
Construction on Ingle's #73 Mark III is underway. Ingle's Gas Express is being constructed at the corner of Anderson Road and Cooper Lane. Inside Ingle's #73 Mark II, aisles have been narrowed and the D-side (right side) except the produce department has been vacated.
Powdersville is in Anderson County, not in Greenville County. Please refrain from a geographical debate in this thread.
Has anyone heard speculation who could be joining Ingle's #73 Mark III in the additional retail space?
The Walmart Supercenter that competes with this store for grocery shoppers has a Greenville mailing address. Your obtuse views on posting Powdersville topics only in the state forum are puzzling at best. Powdersville is a suburb of Greenville. Most of the growth currently occurring in Powdersville is people locating there to commute to jobs within Greenville County.

Ingle's Pharmacy #73's pharmacy license has been issued by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
I have not been inside the existing Ingle's #73 since January. In January, the C-side (produce side) of the store was reduced to allow for construction of the new store. The temporary wall along was visible, the produce department constrained for space, and approximately three aisles were eliminated.
I have read exterior construction was completed in April, and interior construction should be nearing completion.
They haven't really done much inside the old store since the initial shift of the produce. I'm looking forward to opening of the new store. I really hope it is the same layout as the similarly sized store in Franklin, NC. If Ingles opens a similar store in Powdersville, it should be very successful.
I'm also looking forward to being able to use my Ingles points to get chaeper gas at a location that isn't out of the way for my normal commute.
I was told that opening would be mid August, but still no info on the ajoining retail space.

Ingle's Markets closed another store over one week ago for a rebuild. Ingle's #31, Plaza West, 153 Smokey Park Highway, Asheville, North Carolina 28806-1138, is undergoing a tear down and new build. The new Ingle's #31 will be similar to the new Ingle's #73 and other new Ingle's stores that have opened over the past five years.
I hope the new Ingle's #73 will inspire Ingle's Markets to open new stores in South Carolina.

Ingle's Markets has updated the Ingle's #73 page to include pharmacy as a department and the pharmacy's hours of operation. Starbucks and Gas Express should be added to the page after the new store opens.

Ingle's #73 is now open for business. Ingle's Markets presently operates 200 stores with 108 pharmacies chain-wide. Of that, thirty-six stores with twenty-five pharmacies are in South Carolina.
