I will be relocating there, but finding information online on Greenwood is proving frustrating. It is like it is n the middle of nowhere. Is it considered Upstate? Or Midlands?
Also, locating resources ...many seem to be non-existent.

I don't know. Maybe I just don't understand how this town works.

Here you go. http://www.visitgreenwoodsc.com/ and Moderator cut: link removed, competitor site
and of course //www.city-data.com/city/Greenw...-Carolina.html

It's considered to be in the "lower Piedmont region" of the Upstate.

Greenwood is included in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson CSA.

In my view, it is too far from I-85 and the Blue Ridge mountains to be considered the Upstate.

It is kind of on the divide between the Upstate and the Midlands regions but most people still consider Greenwood to be part of the Upstate. It's far enough away from the other metro areas that it is mostly its own entity.

I've always considered it part of the CSRA region which has Augusta, Aiken and McCormick. It is only 20 miles from McCormick.

Here is a map of the CSRA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centra...nah_River_Area
