Is it possible to live in Spartanburg without a car? Any additional info about the town would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -- John

No, public transportation is very poor in the area.

I agree with mckee16 about the public transportation.

Anything is possible but it would be difficult. Where would your job be located?

Just curious......Do you not drive or do you just prefer to live a pedestrian lifestyle?

It just seems odd to see people outside of major metropolitan areas not drive.

Sure you can, never go to college game, never got to the mountains, never go to the beach, never go to Costco, never go to the lakes, never go anywhere, sure you can...

Iam4USC -- I haven't needed a car in a few years. I don't want to invest in one until I see if my new home will work for me (wherever it might be!).

Public transportation would be needed to reach grocery and retail necessities east and west of downtown.
