I was curious as to what the housing situation is like in these areas. Are there any apartment complexes in the area and if so what are the approximate rents for one bedroom apts or condos? There looks to be plenty of apts in Myrtle Beach but how about these two areas? Thanks for the help! Also, how long of a drive is it from Pawleys to Myrtle Beach and MI to Myrtle Beach? I was looking for a real time and not a mapquest estimate. Thanks

Rentals of all kinds are plentiful and quite attractive. There are a lot of one or 2 bedroom golf condos and these usually have pools and gyms.
The grandstrand is a 50 mile long and narrow metro. It can be 8 miles to MB or 28 depending on the destination, but you move right along on rt 17.

It usually takes me about 25 minutes to get from Pawleys to MB airport or Coastal Grand mall... from Murrells Inlet would be 7-8 minutes less.

For Pawleys you can look at True Blue condos, Rose Run, Pawleys Place or Pawleys Pavilion to name a few. You shouldn't have a problem finding a decent apartment. I think you can get one of the nicer 1 b/r for about $800.

Here is a listing of classifieds from the loacl paper:
