My husband and I are considering a move to SC. We live in NJ and are looking to breathe. We want to slow down and enjoy our lives instead of gasping for air trying to pay our bills each month. We want a better quality of life and I am eager to learn about SC.
We can't tranfer our jobs, so we would need to look for new jobs. I hope to stay at home with our children for a few years.
What would be an ideal salary for a family of 5 be to live very nicely in SC (charleston area). If I am going to move, I want some financial security and comforts.
Would $50,000......$75,0000.....$100,000.....be a good salary for 5?
Depends on what you mean by comfortably. In the Charleston area I would guess you'd need to bring in $75 - $100 grand a year. But, the chances of finding a job making that much can be really hard.
We are a family of 5 living in Lancaster and live comfortably on $45,000 a year. I stay home with 3 kids. However, hubby got laid off and is now having a hard time finding a job making what he was making.
