_Nate_ such a shame that if you have truly read all my posts/threads in regard to Indian Land (or any of our other surrounding areas) that the best that you have been able to garner from them...is that I seem to like to fight with moedog in regard to Indian Land schools??...this could not be farther from the truth.

But the sheer volume of work forced upon kids is absurd. My wife, me, or our daughter spend an hour a night with him doing homework..
Congratulations on your upcoming move. I have never on this site....expressed what my personal views are in regard to...the current responsibilities of the schools..nor have I expressed my viewpoint on the amount of homework that children bring home with them each night. But I appreciate you sharing yours.

While I agree that in this particular thread I provided a link of the South Carolina Dept. of Education that is truly up to you (or anyone else) if you decide to use it or not. I often provide links in many of my posts/threads...which has nothing to do with my personal viewpoint on a subject..yet I provide the links to offer options...versus just my own opinion. I have also suggested folks take tours of the schools, and/or check out GreatSchools.net (I do this regardless if I am speaking of Indian Land, Fort Mill, Rock Hill, or where ever)

Umm....okay...well, I am beginning to think you haven't read "ALL" that I have written in regard to IL and IL schools...as your response (or shalll I say your opinion on the current state of our schools systems) doesn't add up to what little I really have said about the IL schools...But again thanks for sharing.

Lastly...I will let you in on a little secret...I really could care less where anyone's children will attend schools at...yet I do try and respond to each persons question on this site with as much time and thought as I can offer.

Good Luck with your move.

Default Bridgemill S.C

I hear that there is 4 cement mixing plants withing 1 mile of Bridgemill. I was going to place an offer on a home there, but after doing research and fiding out how close the plants were decided not to buy there. I would love to buy a John Weiland in another community because how how well they built and there excellent reputation.

I know this is a very old thread but does anyone know what is going on with the cement plants near Bridgemill? We are considering buying there but I am concerned with being that close to cement plants both for health reasons and resale value... Can you hear them from Bridgemilland do you get the dust that people complained about?[/LEFT]

We moved into BridgeMill in November 2011 and we have loved every minute of it so far. It's a very family-oriented community and the amenities are second to none. John Weiland does build a great home.

We have a little one with another on the way, so the schools aren't an immediate concern to us but we've heard and seen nothing but great things.

With the influx of people and money into Indian Land, the school district is flourishing ... educationally and athletically. If I recall a few articles from the local paper correctly, all the Indian Land schools have vaulted into the top of SC's state rankings. A new elementary school is also scheduled to open in 2014-15 just a few miles away.

As I mentioned, Indian Land is growing fast. Shopping plazas and grocery stores are popping up all over, and you can't beat the taxes. Our taxes are so low compared to what we paid in New York that we could send our kids to the best private schools and still come out better financially.

I'm pretty sure there are no cement mixing plants near BridgeMill. If they are around here, they must be a good distance away because you most certainly can't hear them or see any dust.
