Hello everyone,myself and my wife are thinking about relocating in britton,sd , but it seems that there isn't much infro for renting apts. or homes , until we find something we might want to buy, we are in are 50's, and we are coming from the north east new england area. any and all infro for the area would be greatly appreciated.

I am not familiar with that area, but in my experience, finding a local realtor will help you find a decent rental. They sometimes appear in the classifieds, but not so much in the smaller towns. What does appear are the apartment complexes, etc - if you are lucky! And, unlike New England where housing is much more plentiful, finding a decent rental here takes work and connections! Word of mouth doesn't work so well when you aren't in the immediate vicinity, and that's how a lot of these landlords operate. Having a realtor might help, even if they don't have any properties for rent, because they might know of someone who does!
