Does this mean we're not progressive enough and are still going with the old attitudes of "Just suck it up and move on" or "Get to work and you'll forget about all your troubles"?
Yesterday was my birthday. Well, not really, it was an aniversary of my birth day. hahahaha I think you know my daughter. She called and said, "Hey, your old." Then about 20 minutes later another daughter called and said, "Hey old man!" Then one of my son's stopped by and gave me a card that said I was old. So now I have it in writing. hahahaha 7 kids, 6 of them called or stopped by and reasured me that I was old.

I'm only as old as I feel right????? So I'm about a hundred and six.

I wouldn't pay any attention to the suicide rate. Trouble is, people read it and they start believing it. It's bull crap. There's nothing to it.

South Dakota is as progressive as it needs to be. No more, no less.

Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Elk. And no, you really aren't old and I believe that cause I'm close behind you. How ironic~my birthday is next week. And I love the way you put that~the anniversary of your birth.

giggles from spearfish and happy birthday to those born this time of year. i was born may 31,1940. anyone here my age bracket? it does hurt my feelings when people say im just an infant to them or a kid and they are in 70's and above. recently a man 76 yrs. said im just in diapers. i know they mean well, but i try never to say something like that so when we get old lets all (me too) be respectful. just letting you know what people say when you get old then you'll know its just the standard "joke". and as for senior moments, i say i have information overload. now, the purpose of all this is to say have a great sense of HUMOR !!!!!!!

I agree Pejuta, April Fools Day 1989 is my day. Don't call me a "whipper-snapper"!

A "Whipper snapper", that's funny!!! There was a gal I grew up with who had her birthday on April Fool's Day and had to take so much teasing about it. She didn't care though. She had an attitude like Pejuta's and was carefree.

My inlaws were married on Feb 29th. So I take a card and rip it into 4 pieces and send them a chunk each year. On the 4th year, they can tape it together and read it.

Thing is, no one believes me on April Fool's Day when I tell them it's my birthday. Makes it VERY difficult to get a good present.

However, I used to play pranks on the fam and they'd go easy on me.
I mean c'mon, it wasmy birthday!!!

I guess that South Dakota is the place to be. I was my dad's father's day present in '82.
